| Weight Mastery
This Weight Mastery Group is an (8) Session Program that meets
once a week. We begin each session with a theme; each session building
from the one before.
Here are some of the themes:
1. POWER OF THOUGHT
You can learn a lot about how your words affect your body, your
cravings, your sense of power and the way you feel about food. The
words we use when we talk to ourselves are a form of self-hypnosis.
The more you repeat a statement about yourself, the more it becomes
a belief and is communicated on every level to your body, your mind,
your emotions...but you can change it. This session helps you to
notice what you are saying and learn to start talking differently
to yourself to get the results that you want.
2. IN CONTROL
People often feel out of control when it comes to food; and the
more they think about being out of control, the bigger the problem
gets. This session will help you get back in control of your eating
and your life.
3. APPETITE MECHANISM
This session uses a unique method of creating an internal (subconscious)
mechanism that makes food choices for you. Without a thought, you
may find that your appetite has changed.
4. PARTS THERAPY
This is one of the most important sessions and addresses self-sabotage
issues. We are a product of our experiences, emotions, childhood
issues, and events that have shaped our current life. Often there
are parts of us that are created that have needs and desires, and
sometimes these parts are in conflict with each other. Sometimes
a part is causing negative behavior, like overeating, because it
has a positive reason to do so. There are many parts with many positive
intentions. This session will help you to uncover aspects of what
this part needs and wants to resolve the issue.
5. LOVE TO MOVE AND EXERCISE YOUR BODY
This session will help to activate your body's natural desire to
move. Your mind will compel you to workout whenever you think about
exercise. You may find that instead of talking yourself out of it,
you naturally talk yourself into it with very little effort.
6. SET POINT
There is a biological Set Point in your brain that is responsible
for the function of keeping your weight stable. Sometimes this Set
Point creeps up through the years and regulates the release of fat
by maintaining your current weight. It is like a thermostat...and
may be the culprit in keeping your weight from going below that
level. During this session, you will change your Set Point.
7. METABOLISM
Your metabolic rate is affected by your brain, by your exercise,
and the frequency of food intake. To keep your metabolism in a fat
burning mode, drink lots of water, eat small meals frequently and
do deep breathing exercises every hour. This session will help you
adjust your metabolism internally, like turning up the furnace in
your body. Many people feel warmer and more energized after this
session.
8. BODY SCULPTING
This is a very important process that will allow your subconscious
mind to change the internal image, shape and blueprint of your body.
Your mind constantly tries to bring you back to what it perceives
as your proper body. This is based upon your current internal image
of yourself. Changing your internal body image will help you change
your body.
